Crawfish in Plymouth - May 2025

Crawfish numbers really seem to be doing well at the moment. From what was once a rare sighting on the south coast due to over fishing, numbers now look much healthier. I might have seen around 100 individuals on a single dive on a reef near the River Erme close to Plymouth.
This crawfish had a hole in the rock crevace surrounded by Parazoanthus yellow cluster anemones.
