Nudibranchs from Scotland's West coast - June 2018

Diving at Loch Carron and there are lots of the sea slug Edmundsella pedata
Each season is different with sea slugs - populations sometimes go through a sudden explosion in numbers one season - and then be quite scarce the next.

This May/June there were lots of large ones of this purple coloured species at Loch Carron, now reclassified and named Edmundsella pedata. There is still no common name for them as far as I know. Definitely one of the more photogenic varieties.
