Stoney Cove, Leicestershire - January 2010

With one of the coldest winters for some time, I went for a dive in Stoney Cove. There was lots of snow about but it would have needed to be a lot colder for any ice diving to be possible.
This was a Saturday in early January and the water was a cool but tolerable 5 degrees. The place is usually heaving with divers so I was pleasantly surprised to see it so deserted.
