Flame shell
Fame shell (Limaria hians).
Sometimes called file shell.
Flame shells have have characteristic fiery red tentacles and are able to bind together, often buried under a spongy mass, making them difficult to see. A rare species able to form Flame shell reefs and generally restricted to western Scotland.
